Commercial Finish Carpenter

Key Responsibilities

Perform commercial finish carpentry, including installation of millwork, cabinetry, countertops, trim, doors, hardware, shelving, retail fixtures, laminate, FRP, and specialty finishes. Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and finish schedules to complete accurate installations. Measure, cut, fit, assemble, and install finish materials while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship and quality.

Perform adjustments, repairs, punch-list work, and final finish corrections to ensure project completion. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and finish carpentry equipment. Coordinate with supervisors, subcontractors, and other trades to maintain project schedules and resolve field issues. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with company and OSHA safety requirements.

Required Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of commercial finish carpentry experience, preferably in commercial construction. Strong knowledge of millwork, cabinetry, trim, doors, hardware, laminate, FRP, retail fixtures, and architectural finish installations. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and finish schedules.

Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and finish carpentry equipment. Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, problem-solving, and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced construction environment. Ability and willingness to work 95% night shift work, including overnight schedules.

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated surfaces. Travel Requirement: This position requires extensive travel and an on-site presence throughout the duration of assigned projects.
