Pre- K Educator

Assistant Teacher Responsibilities Arrive at school promptly for scheduled shifts as agreed upon with the Director. Understand, uphold, and model the Mission, policies, and philosophy of the Temple Shalom Nursery School. Support classroom lead teachers by executing daily instructions, engaging with children, maintaining classroom housekeeping, and strictly upholding safety guidelines.

Actively participate in curriculum planning initiatives. Attend team planning meetings whenever possible and provide classroom coverage so lead teachers can participate in planning sessions. Attend all mandatory Whole School Team meetings. Complete required professional development hours in accordance with Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) guidelines.

Engage in ongoing evaluation, reflective practices, and regular supervision with the Director. Participate in the formal Yearly Review and Job Appraisal process as outlined in the Supervision and Evaluation section of this handbook.
