About the role

The Strategic Account Manager is a vendor-side sales role. You will sell Catchmaster products to retail buyers at national, regional, and independent retail chains, negotiate terms, and grow sales and profit across assigned account portfolio. This is not a store-level or retail operations position. Reports to: Director of Retail Sales Location: Remote and within 45 minutes of a major airport Travel: 20%, including buyer meetings, line reviews, and trade shows You will have the opportunity to -Own the relationship with retail buyers and category managers at your assigned accounts, and meet annual sales, margin, and profitability targets -Lead new item introductions, line reviews, and category resets, including shelf placement and assortment recommendations -Analyze POS, sell-through, and retailer portal data to find growth opportunities and fix underperformance -Manager broker and field-merchandising partners who support your accounts -Train buyers, category teams, and retailer field staff on Catchmaster products and the competitive advantage over other brands -Represent Catchmaster at retailer meetings, line reviews, and industry trade shows -Partner with Marketing on retailer-specific promotions, digital content, and in-store programs -Forecast demand with supply chain and sales operations, and resolve service, fill-rate, and order issues with accounts -Build and run join business plans with each account, with shared goals, financial targets, and milestones -Negotiate pricing, terms, promotional funding, and trade spend with buyers We are looking for someone who is 100% seller-centric is creative, resilient, proven ability to solve problems creatively will thrive in constantly evolving, fast paced environment meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned partner accounts.

proactively leads a joint partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship. assesses, clarifies, and validates partner needs on an ongoing basis. has excellent analytical skills can quickly adapt to change has the proficiency in working with metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets What sets you apart Experience at a consumers products manufacturer or broker, ideally in hardlines, home and garden, or pest control Existing relationships with buyers Experience managing broker or field merchandising teams Experience selling seasonal or regulated products Educational background and experience -Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution -Direct experience negotiating pricing, terms, and promotions with retail buyers at national, regional, and independent retailers -Experience with line reviews, category resets, new item introductions, and joint business planning -Excellent negotiation, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills -PC proficiency -Ability to travel 20% -Strong analytical skills: comfortable with advanced Excel and with POS and retailer data -A record of meeting or exceeding sales and margin targets -8+ years of B2B sales experience selling consumer products to retail buyers, working for a manufacturer, supplier, or broker AP&G Co.
