Post Harvest Team Member
Job description
POSTION SUMMARY Supports activities within the Post-Harvest Department including harvesting, drying, curing of cannabis, as well as the cleaning of equipment and rooms associated with post-harvest activities. Completes tasks assigned by post-harvest supervisor or their designate, to ensure high product quality in accordance with standards set by Health Canada.
Team Members can expect to be in regular contact with Isopropyl Alcohol and cannabis debris. Occasionally, we will operate automated equipment which will require the use of double hearing protection. We are hiring for two shifts :
- Monday-Friday
- Tuesday
- Saturday CORE JOB DUTIES
- Harvest o Cutting plants down and bringing to drying room o Clean-up of flower room (stem disposal, sweeping, net removal)
- Drying o Hang plants on racks as directed by Post-Harvest Supervisor (or designate) o Creation of tags to label racks o Perform sensory examination of product o Conduct moisture tests to determine how to action product o Cleaning of cure related supplies
- Curing o Conduct moisture and sensory tests of curing product o Open containers of product and gently turning product over to facilitate gas exchange and moisture loss o Cleaning of cure related supplies
- Bulk Packaging o Weighing the cured product and storing
- Reprocessing o Perform departmental cleaning of equipment and automated machinery o Participate in monthly major cleans of all Trim, Dry, Cure rooms JOB SKILLS

- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Manufacturing or production experience is an asset
- Ability to carry up to 15kg totes of product up/down flights of stairs multiple times throughout the day (harvest)
- Ability to lift & carry up to 50lbs
- Ability to complete repetitive work using shears and scissors
