Why you'll love this job The Director of Revenue Engineering is responsible for significant top line impact to company revenues, specifically responsible for the systems/business processes that help influence and drive commercial decision making. Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations. + Leads the core Revenue Management functions on the engineering teams, such as yield management, pricing, ancillary, revenue integrity, fare, and inventory distribution + Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders in support of revenue projects and initiatives and supports prioritization efforts across the enterprise + Identifies new revenue opportunities and leveraging available tools, processes, best practices and reporting + Leads the teams responsible for delivery, execution, and performance of American's commercial products into the marketplace + Creates a relentless focus on marketplace execution to drive incremental revenue outcome for American Airlines + Develops managers and analysts to ensure a high level of job proficiency and prepare them for future roles with increasing responsibility All you'll need for success Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience + Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training + 7 years of progressive leadership experience overseeing large cross-functional teams Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience + Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Technical Masters in relevant field + Prior experience in Revenue Management or related Commercial departments + Understanding of airline economics, operations, and revenue management techniques, and the ability to apply that knowledge to strategic problems Skills, Licenses & Certifications + Demonstrates the highest standards of ethics and integrity + Action oriented, results-driven leader with a natural aptitude for engaging team members + Ability to influence through outstanding interpersonal skills and build collaborative relationships with, and consensus amongst, multiple stakeholders with varying points of view What you'll get Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: + Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
