Radiology Tech - MRI

SportsMED Orthopedic is seeking an experienced MRI Tech to join our Huntsville, AL clinic. The ideal candidate would have at least 2 years of clinical x-ray experience with MRI procedure experience highly preferred. X-Ray Tech Duties/Responsibilities: Operation of MRI machines, computer software (EMR) systems, and other high-tech equipment as needed Determine individual technique for ordered examination and position patient properly Maintain proper quality control procedures Answering patient questions about the procedure Adjusting equipment as needed to produce high-quality images Evaluating images to make sure they meet the ordering provider’s requirements Must have knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to MRI exams and equipment Work as a team member within the imaging department Education and Experience: Associate's Degree in Radiology (experience will be considered in lieu of degree) Current/active ARRT license required

• RT (MR) strongly preferred Knowledge of radiologic standards, requirements and regulations Thorough knowledge of orthopedic terminology and anatomy Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, grasping, carrying, reaching, bending, and stooping Lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds or greater Exposure to radiation which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and monitored by radiation badges *The job duties listed in this job description may not be inclusive of all requirements of this position.
