Description Life. South Community Blood Centers is seeking a dependable and service-oriented Medical Courier to join our team in Montgomery, AL. Schedule and Availability This position requires on-call availability and may include nights, weekends, holidays, and travel as needed. What You’ll Be Responsible For As a Medical Courier, you’ll help ensure blood and blood products reach the people who need them.

You’ll pick up, package, and deliver blood products and supplies while providing professional service to hospitals, customers, and other Life. South locations.

What You'll Do

Package, pick up, and deliver blood products to hospitals, customers, Life. South locations, and transportation agencies Collect blood products from mobile collection sites and customers and transport them to the component production area Load and unload blood products, supplies, and other materials, using a hand truck when needed Inspect the delivery vehicle daily to ensure it is clean, properly equipped, and in working condition; report any operational issues Deliver documents, pick up supplies, and transport small items for repair as needed Maintain records of incoming and outgoing materials and provide professional service to internal and external customers Help the Hospital Services Team Leader resolve problems promptly while following Life.

South’s Standard Operating Procedures What You’ll Need High school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation; must meet and maintain Life. This is a full-time position.

Starting salary range is $14.50 - $15.95 an hour. Criminal background check, pre-employment physical and drug screen required upon conditional offer of hire.
