  • OP, FL, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Front Desk Receptionist – Primary Care Coastal Health – Orange Park, FL Full-Time | In-Person Coastal Health is seeking a friendly, dependable, and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our Primary Care team in Orange Park. The Front Desk Receptionist is often the first and last point of contact for our patients, making excellent customer service, professionalism, and a positive attitude essential to this role. We are looking for someone who enjoys helping people, works well in a fast-paced medical office, and can effectively manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a welcoming and professional environment.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner Check patients in and out for appointments Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information Collect copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and outstanding balances Answer and route incoming telephone calls appropriately Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments Provide patients with necessary forms, paperwork, and appointment information Verify insurance eligibility and assist with insurance-related questions Maintain accurate patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) Scan and upload documents into patient charts Process incoming and outgoing faxes and other correspondence Assist with referrals and other front-office administrative duties as needed Maintain an organized and welcoming reception and waiting area Communicate effectively with providers, clinical staff, and other departments Protect patient privacy and maintain HIPAA compliance at all times Provide compassionate and professional service to every patient Assist the office team with additional duties as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Previous medical office or front desk experience preferred Primary Care experience is a plus Experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes preferred Strong computer and data-entry skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Professional telephone etiquette Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent customer service skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is friendly, compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented.

Qualifications

Minimum 1-3 years experience in the medical field preferred. Multi-tasking, Flexibility, Telephone Skills, Customer Service, Time Management, Organization, Attention to Detail, Scheduling, Word Processing , Professionalism, Quality Focus, Team driven attitude, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and reliable transportation.
