GFL Environmental is looking for a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician to join our team in Victoria, BC! Applicants must be a Red Seal/Certified Mechanic to be considered. Whether rebuilding, repairing, or performing maintenance on our fleet of equipment, Mechanics are essential to our business—and quickly become our Drivers’ favorite people. What’s required: Mechanics must have: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); technical diploma desired 1+ year experience as a Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic Relevant criteria for safety-sensitive functions according to Company standards Follow detailed instructions, work independently and maintain accurate records Willingness to operate any vehicle or equipment necessary to perform job Exert physical effort including pushing, pulling, bending and lifting items up to 100 lbs.
