Electrical Helper - Dyersburg

Position Summary

Amteck is hiring an Electrician Helper for a local service role in Dyersburg, TN. This position supports Journeyman Electricians, foremen, and project leadership on commercial and industrial electrical work. The successful candidate will be dependable, safety-minded, eager to learn, and ready to grow a long-term career in the electrical trade.

This is a local position based in Dyersburg, TN. Candidates should live within a reasonable commuting distance of Dyersburg and be available to work on local projects.

What You Will Do

• Work under the supervision and direction of Journeyman Electricians, foremen, and other field leadership.
• Assist with assigned electrical construction and service tasks within your assessed skill level.
• Support the installation, routing, and bending of Rigid and EMT conduit.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company and jobsite safety requirements.
• Build skills through hands-on experience and the opportunity to enroll in Amteck's accredited apprenticeship program.
• Develop additional skills in areas such as low voltage, controls, process work, and fire alarm.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of electrical experience on commercial or industrial job sites.
• Experience running and bending Rigid and EMT conduit.
• Experience working alongside a Journeyman Electrician.
• OSHA 10 certification is preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow directions, work safely, and contribute as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to commute locally to Charleston-area projects.
