Certified Medical Assistant (Pod Float) Full Time CMA Position for Busy Multi-Specialist Clinic, located in Burlington, NC Kernodle Clinic is a respected and progressive multi-specialty group practice with office locations in Burlington, Mebane and Elon. Kernodle Clinic is a multi-specialty practice with more than 100 providers located just off I-40/I-85. Burlington is accessible as a day trip to NC Mountains and beaches. Ample recreational activities, shopping, and easy access to metros (Greensboro, Raleigh and Durham) are unique to Burlington. We are currently seeking patient-focused individuals for a Certified Medical Assistant to support our Internal Medicine Department as a Pod Float.

This position would be located at the Burlington Kernodle Clinic location. Experience preferred but not required. EPIC experience not required, but a preferred plus. Schedule would be Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. All candidates must be graduates of an accredited MA program, and possess a current CMA certification, preferably through AAMA or AMT.

BLS certification through AHA required. Job Type: Full-time Duties Include, but not limited to the following: Prepare exam rooms and assist with patient intake, including measuring and recording vital signs, weight, height and medical history. Room patients in a timely and professional manner Assist providers with examinations, and procedures Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as directed Perform diagnostic tests such as EKG's, vision screenings with providers order and review Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis When providing direct patient care, including patient related telephone conversations, employees use double identifiers to ensure right patient every time.

Plans, provides, and documents professional medical assisting care utilizing the medical assisting process, in accordance with physician/APP orders and established policies and procedures, under the supervision of the department manager. Concisely document all patient related calls, orders, and transactions in the medical record.

Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked and organized between patients Other clinical support responsibilities include disposing of contaminated supplies, instrument processing, high level disinfection and sterilization of medical instruments, telephoning prescriptions to a pharmacy, preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician, and authorizing drug refills as directed.
