Feed Mill Manager

The Feed Mill Manager is responsible for producing and delivering quality feed at a competitive cost.

Essential Functions

Directly supervise a team of 12+ employees. Receive all ingredients properly, using correct testing methods/standards, and rejecting ingredients that do not meet Peco standards. Maintain accurate inventories of all ingredients and finished food. Manufacture feed properly, keeping feed separate through sequencing, use of proper bins, and proper load-out procedures.

Have all employees and drivers participate in the company safety program. Supervise a delivery operation that maintains adequate farm inventories and utilizes service techs for final loads. Follow al FDA regulations. Ensure drivers follow hours of service rules and all other DOT regulations. Maintain the company facilities and fleet through proper preventative maintenance.

Maintain cleanliness of grounds, mill, and fleet. Responsible for all animal welfare and biosecurity training and compliance in the feed mill department. Handle and ensure all employees handle various chemicals, vaccines and medications safely. Maintain adequate staffing. Ensure compliance with all applicable government agencies and regulations.

Physical Demands: Working in normal room environment, outside environment, and in cold, hot, humid and dusty conditions. Lifting various weights on an as needed basis. Physically able to climb a ladder at various heights.
