School Nurse

Job Summary

Under direction, to provide basic health services to students; to assist in the planning and implementation of school health programs in cooperation with medical authority and school administrative personnel; to evaluate the health status of students and the health service program; to provide instruction in health practices, first aid, child care, and other related subjects; to serve as a resource pertaining to student health management strategies, and welfare and attendance problems and concerns; and to do other related functions as required.

Requirements

/ Qualifications EXPERIENCE

• Two years of successful public school nursing experience CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
• Possession of a valid School Nurse Services credential or Preliminary School Nurse Services credential
