ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Use data-driven analysis to question pricing, identify cost-saving opportunities, and prepare supporting materials for negotiations.

Market Monitoring Track and report on market trends affecting commodities, ingredients, oils, sweeteners, and proteins. Monitor commodity indices, supply/demand trends, inflationary pressures, and geopolitical or weather-related risks. Summarize market insights and recommend sourcing, contract, and pricing approaches for management review.

Supplier & Co-Packer Management Support supplier and co-packer selection, RFQ/RFP processes, contracting, and performance reviews. Participate in commercial negotiations covering price models, index-based pricing, capacity commitments, and SLAs, and lead negotiations on smaller or lower-risk agreements. Assist with supplier development efforts and dual-sourcing initiatives to reduce supply risk.

Track supplier scorecards, delivery performance, and quality or service issues, and follow through on corrective actions. Cross-Functional Partnership Collaborate with Operations, Planning, R&D, Quality, Finance, and Engineering to support production, innovation, and growth.
