Chemist I

As a Chemist I at Solstice, you will employ critical thinking and use your knowledge of chemistry fundamentals to help Solstice deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will work under direct and/or indirect supervision and alongside talented chemists to develop and optimize analytical test methods, conduct experiments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development of Solstice's next generation of products.

You will be a part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise and ensure the success of our methods and programs. You will report directly to our Chemist Supervisor and work out of our Spokane, WA location (please note this is not a remote or hybrid role). In this role, you will impact on the development of innovative solutions and contribute to the success of our projects and programs.

This position requires availability to work a non-traditional schedule, including evening and overnight shifts, weekends, and potentially weekend overnight shifts. Candidates must be willing and able to work outside of standard Monday–Friday business hours, as operational needs require.**** KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Run chemical experiments Perform analytical tests Develop and validate quality control test methodologies Provide technical expertise in analytical chemistry and instrument operation and maintenance Provide high-quality and timely analysis Generate continuous improvement ideas Ensure compliance with the Solstice Spokane Quality Management System Key Responsibilities Design chemical processes Run chemical experiments Perform chemistry tests Aid in the development of manufacturing procedures Develop and validate quality control test methodologies Provide technical expertise in analytical chemistry and instrument operation and maintenance Provide highquality and timely analysis Generate continuous improvement ideas YOU MUST HAVE Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related science.

6+ years of experience working in a laboratory environment, which may combine educational experience plus working experience. WE VALUE Experience with analytical instrumentation High attention to detail Ability to work under minimal supervision COMPENSATION The annual base salary range for this position is $70,548K - $88,236K.
