Wrestling Graduate Assistant

About the Role
This Athletics Graduate Assistant position will be responsible for assisting the sport head coach in the areas of recruiting, practice and game planning and management, conducting individual workouts, video coordinating, and the overall administration of the program. The position includes tuition remission and a stipend.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree Admitted to the Briar Cliff University graduate school program. Experience either playing college sport or coaching at the high school or college level is preferred. Valid Driver’s license is required. Successfully complete a background check. Essential Skills: LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
