Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Shop & Field Repairs)

We are seeking skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics in Montezuma, IA. The ideal Technician will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of heavy equipment used in the agricultural and construction industries.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on AG tractors, Combines, Sprayers and heavy construction equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure equipment longevity. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow.

Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Benefits

Competitive wages $35 to $50/hr. Full Health coverage, and 4% matching 401k. Paid time off and holidays. Shift: Day shift 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday to Saturday).
