This role provides direct leadership to mechanical craft personnel and contractors, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost‑effective maintenance of gas turbines, steam turbines, HRSGs, and balance‑of‑plant systems through preventive, predictive, corrective maintenance and outage execution. The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor applies Human Performance (HP) principles and Tallgrass culture expectations to drive learning, accountability, and continuous improvement.
The supervisor ensures Tallgrass values and HP principles are included in effective pre‑job briefs, quality post‑job reviews, robust event reporting and reviews are focused on process and system improvements rather than individual fault. The role owns mechanical execution quality and rework reduction, holding teams accountable for right the first-time work, defect elimination, and prevention of repeat failures, measured through KPIs including but not limited to rework rate, first‑pass yield , defect recurrence, and schedule adherence.
The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor works closely with Operations, Planning, Scheduling, Procurement, Reliability Engineering, Supply Chain, EHS, and the O&M Contractor to meet Tallgrass Energy’s safety, regulatory, environmental, and mission critical data center commercial objectives.
