Job description

Position Summary

Responsible for fabricating and installing piping, replacing valves, making repairs to equipment, and other duties related to the Company pipeline assets. Primary Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to the following): Install and fabricate piping in compliance with CountryMark and industry safety and performance standards.

Read and understand station flow and pipeline alignment diagrams and general mapping formats. Ensure accuracy and detail of piping measurements. Remove and replace various types of valves. Install isolation blinds and un-head vessels and tanks. Install lease and truck loading lines and components related to Crude Gathering logistics.

Assist in performing relief duties for other technical positions, (pigging, pig tracking, line locating and marking as needed). Coordinate with equipment operator when installing or replacing pipe and equipment. Install pipeline coating systems and applications, including operation of inspection holiday detectors. Install permanent pipeline integrity composite repairs (Perm-a-Wrap) systems.

Completes routine paperwork and reporting for pipeline repairs and maintenance, safety inspections, safety permitting, and other required documentation. Job Qualifications (refers to job, not incumbent): 1 - 2 years of oil field operations experience is preferred. A High School Diploma is required. Licenses, Certifications or Registrations: Employee must have valid driver’s license if operating a company vehicle or their own vehicle for work purposes.

Employee must also have the appropriate CDL classification/endorsements required for their specific position. Operator Qualification is preferred. Other: Familiarization with Asset Management system(s) is preferred. Strong knowledge of pipeline operating practices, crude oil and gas industry, and a broad range of processing equipment and tools.

Actively promote and practice safety by adhering to all safe work policies and procedures. Must be able to accommodate extended hours/overtime as needed. Must be able to accommodate extended travel and overnight stays as needed. Ability to travel as required for meetings, trainings, seminars, etc. Ability to work well independently and in team settings with occasional direct supervision.

Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of management and internal/external clients. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Provide oral and written communication of activities to appropriate personnel. Must have good time management skills and be able to manage multiple tasks at same time.

Physical Demands: May be required to work with prolonged standing and walking, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and crawling. Must be able to provide overhead work, team lifting involving twisting, rotation, stair, and ladder climbing with good static and dynamic balance. Required to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces, lift/carry up to 50 lbs, and push/pull 75 lbs.
