• Food Service, Tribal Preference will be given in accordance with BRBRR Act Relating to Employment POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for deep cleaning of the kitchen equipment, grease traps, and other areas of the kitchen. General responsibility is to keep kitchens clean and organized.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition. Sweep and/or scrub floors. Dump garbage cans located in kitchen, dish room, and seating areas as necessary. Clean garbage cans with water or steam. Scrub and polish counter tops, steam tables, fountain equipment and other related equipment.

Perform cleaning duties to keep equipment and facilities sanitary. Clean and polish shelves, walls, furniture, and/or equipment in food service areas or other areas of restaurants as needed. Cleans and degreases ovens, stoves, vents and other related kitchen equipment. Regularly wash dishes, pots and pans as needed to backfill dishwashing position.

Stocks, stores, and straightens up according to procedures. Must keep work area neat, organized and free of slip and trip hazards. Other duties may be assigned. AUTHORITY/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Can work quickly and efficiently. Willing to learn how to operate and maintain an automatic dishwasher. Willing to learn sanitation policies and procedures. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must provide or obtain a Food Handlers certification upon hire and maintain during employment.

COMPUTER OPERATIONS: Basic personal computer skills. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be able to work with American Indian people and be sensitive to their culture. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources. Participate in proactive team efforts of Bear River Casino Resort. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.

Will utilize proper safety equipment such as gloves, goggles, apron etc. as necessary to perform duties in a safe manner. Will wear non-slip shoes at all times.
