Job description

Have you ever worked for someone who asked others to do what they wouldn't do themselves? Are you the person your team naturally turns to when they need help solving problems, staying on schedule, or getting the job done right? If you're ready to step into a leadership role where your experience matters, your ideas are valued, and you can make a real impact every day, we'd love to meet you.

At Wisenbaker, we're looking for Production Leads for our Assembly, Finishing, and Mill departments. These are hands-on leadership positions responsible for supporting production operations, developing team members, maintaining quality standards, and helping drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Your Mission As a Production Lead, you'll help keep production moving by leading from the floor, supporting your team, solving problems in real time, and ensuring daily production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and with the quality our customers expect. You'll serve as the bridge between hourly team members and production leadership while setting the example through your work ethic, attitude, and commitment to excellence.

What You'll Be Doing (And Crushing Every Day) Lead daily production activities within your assigned department while supporting the achievement of production, quality, and safety goals. Coach, train, and mentor team members while promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning. Monitor workflow and proactively address production issues to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.

Ensure products meet quality standards by reinforcing established work instructions and best practices. Promote and enforce all safety policies while helping create a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Assist with scheduling priorities, material flow, changeovers, and production readiness throughout the shift.

Collaborate with Supervisors, Maintenance, Quality, and other departments to resolve operational challenges. Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity. Maintain accurate production information and communicate shift performance, concerns, and opportunities to leadership.

Lead by example every day through professionalism, integrity, and a positive attitude.

What We're Looking For

2+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in Assembly, Finishing, Mill, or similar production environments. Previous experience leading a team, training employees, or serving as a Lead is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production flow, quality standards, and workplace safety.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop others. A proactive problem solver who remains calm under pressure and adapts quickly to changing production needs. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, or process optimization is a plus. Commitment to delivering high-quality work while maintaining productivity and safety standards.

Willingness to work flexible schedules, overtime, or weekends as production demands require.
