A shuttle driver is a transportation professional responsible for safely driving passengers between designated locations on a fixed or semi-fixed route. These routes are often short-distance and repetitive.
Key Responsibilities
Transport passengers between locations such as airports, hotels, parking lots, or campuses Follow scheduled routes and timelines Assist passengers with boarding, luggage, or accessibility needs Ensure vehicle cleanliness, safety, and basic maintenance checks Follow traffic laws and company policies Common Work Environments Airports (hotel or rental car shuttles) Corporate campuses or universities Tourist destinations or event venues Skills & Requirements Valid driver’s license (often a CDL for larger vehicles) Clean driving record Good customer service and communication skills Ability to navigate routes and use GPS systems Punctuality and reliability
