Laundry Attendant

As a Benchmark housekeeper, your main role will be to maintain a community that is safe and clean for residents, associates, and visitors. You will be responsible for laundering towels, bed linens, and resident laundry, and the upkeep of resident apartments.

• Collects, cleans and redistributes the resident laundry.
• Washing, drying, ironing, folding, sorting, etc. of resident clothing and linens.
• Ensures that all laundry is properly sorted, washed and dried according to State and Federal regulations.
• Ensures that all laundry is maintained in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition. Also keeps laundry department clean.
• Reports any laundry equipment problems to department supervisor.
• Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by the supervisor.

Requirements

A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Experience cleaning residential or commercial settings is preferred, but we will train. Understands the practices surrounding the proper handling of biohazardous waste.
