World Language Teacher – Middle School Mandarin

Lexington County School District One (Lexington, SC) seeks to hire World Language Teacher � Middle School Mandarin (mult. pos.) Must have U.S. Bach deg. in Mandarin (Chinese), Education, or a related field, or its foreign equivalent. Position req. a South Carolina teaching cert. w/appropriate specialization & fluency in Mandarin (Chinese).

Duties: (i) teach concepts & skills in comprehension, speaking, reading, & writing in Mandarin (Chinese) to middle school students; (ii) teach appreciation of the countries' culture for assigned middle school grade level(s) (6-8); & (iii) perform other duties as assigned incl. tutoring middle school students, curriculum writing, peer evals and/or similar duties.

Position may transfer to different building w/in the district's metro-statistical area (MSA) to accommodate the business needs of district.
