Apprenticeship Overview: Salary: £8.00 an hour, Automatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19+ year olds Working Week: Monday and Tuesday 8:30am- 3:30pm, Wednesday 8:30am-4:30pm, Thursday 8:30am- 4pm and Friday 8:30am- 3:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break Hours: 34 hours per week Duration: 18 months Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Standard qualification Online training supported by our dedicated tutor Location: Halley Street, London, E14 7SS Work As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. What you’ll do at work Support children with their daily learning and classroom activities Assist the teacher with lessons, resources, and classroom routines Respond to first aid needs and ensure children’s wellbeing Supervise pupils during playtimes and lunchtimes to promote safety and positive behaviour Support children to move safely and confidently around the school site Specific vacancy requirements Desirable: Communication Problem solving Presentation Administrative skills Teamwork Creative Non judgemental Reliable Passionate about children Qualifications GCSE English (Grade A*-C/9-4 or Level 2 equivalent) Desirable GCSE Maths (Grade A*-C/9-4 or Level 2 equivalent) Desirable What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
