Overview

As a C++ Software Developer, you will contribute to the design, development, and evolution of software solutions used by construction, engineering, and design professionals worldwide. Working within GRAITEC's R&D organization, you will help build high-performance desktop applications and engineering tools that support the digital transformation of the Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) industry.

You will be involved throughout the software development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation to testing, optimization, maintenance, and product evolution. The role combines strong native software development using C++ with contributions to desktop user interfaces and application workflows developed using C# and .

NET technologies. As part of a collaborative Agile environment, you will work closely with Product Managers, QA Engineers, UX Designers, Structural Engineers, and fellow Software Developers to deliver reliable, scalable, and user-focused software solutions. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex engineering challenges, performance-critical applications, computational workflows, and advanced software architectures.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using C++ technologies. Develop and enhance desktop applications, core business logic, and engineering components. Contribute to application user interfaces and workflows developed in C# and .NET. Build robust integrations between application layers, services, and engineering modules.

Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions. Ensure software quality through code reviews, testing, debugging, and engineering best practices. Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability. Collaborate with Product, QA, UX, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality product releases.

Support troubleshooting, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives. Contribute to modernization efforts and adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

4+ years of professional software development experience. Strong experience developing software applications using C++. Experience working with object-oriented design principles and modern C++ development practices. Experience developing desktop applications and complex business logic. Experience designing and implementing software components, libraries, APIs, or backend services.

Experience working with relational databases and SQL. Experience with software debugging, performance optimization, and troubleshooting. Experience working with source control systems, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows. Experience contributing throughout the software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing and production support.

Experience working within Agile software development environments. Nice-to-Have Experience Experience with C# and .NET application development. Experience developing graphical user interfaces (GUI) for desktop applications. Experience in 3D software development, geometry processing, or computational geometry. Experience working with CAD, BIM, engineering, or construction software products.

Experience with rendering technologies, visualization components, or modelling engines. Experience integrating AI-powered capabilities or leveraging AI-assisted development tools. Exposure to Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) industry workflows.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns. Good understanding of software architecture and application design. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
