Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant | Castle Megastore Celebrating 38 years, we’re adding to our finance team and looking for a Staff Accountant who loves accuracy, owns their work, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. What you’ll do Enter AP invoices accurately and on time, and pay them within vendor-negotiated terms Run AP aging reports, watch payment terms and capture available discounts Process non-PO invoices, including verifying receipts, G/L coding and approvals per our delegation of authority matrix Reconcile vendor statements and resolve AP issues Handle vendor inquiries and new vendor setup Prepare wire payment documentation and help convert and verify vendor ACH Complete monthly consignment payments Work with Purchasing to resolve price discrepancies Support month-end close (accruals, bank reconciliations, journal entries) and annual audits Monitor cash daily Review and process employee expense reports Liaise with rental landlords Back up the Payroll function during time off What you bring 5+ years of Accounting experience in a similar role or one with growing responsibility (retail with high-volume inventory turns preferred) Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of relevant experience CPA is great, but not required Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Intermediate-or-better Excel and MS Office skills Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills A proactive, results-focused attitude Epicor experience is a huge plus Must be 18 or older What we offer Health, dental and vision insurance Earned paid time off 401(k) with up to 6% match Employee discount after 90 days Ongoing career and leadership development Primarily desk-based work with some flexibility needed for non-standard hours during critical deadlines.
