Residential Interior Designer
Job description
About Us
D&D Home Remodeling is a growing, family-owned design-build remodeling company serving homeowners throughout the Bay Area. We specialize in kitchens, bathrooms, full-home renovations, additions, and ADUs. We provide a supportive, team-oriented work environment where communication, collaboration, quality, and long-term relationships are important.
We are looking for a talented and organized In-House Interior Designer to join our San Jose office and guide clients from the initial design concept through material selections and construction.
Key Responsibilities
Meet with clients to understand their vision, needs, style, and budget. Develop functional layouts for kitchens, bathrooms, and full-home remodels. Prepare space plans, design concepts, mood boards, and 3D renderings. Assist clients with cabinetry, countertops, tile, flooring, plumbing fixtures, lighting, paint colors, and finish selections.
Create detailed finish schedules and maintain accurate records of approved selections. Coordinate with project managers, estimators, architects, vendors, and field crews. Review measurements and verify that designs are practical and buildable. Visit project sites and local showrooms as needed. Manage multiple projects, deadlines, revisions, and client approvals.
Help develop D&D’s internal design standards and client presentation process.
What We Offer
Full-time, in-house position with a growing family-owned company. A supportive and collaborative team environment. Diverse residential projects throughout the Bay Area. Direct collaboration with company ownership and construction teams. Professional growth and performance-based bonus opportunities.
Requirements
Degree or professional training in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred. Experience with residential remodeling, especially kitchens and bathrooms. Benefits
Professional growth and performance-based bonus opportunities.
