JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Design Drafter Department: Engineering Reports to: Engineering Manager FLSA Status: Prepared By: Brad Vigar Prepared Date: 03/25/2026 Approved: Approved date: Summary This position is responsible for assisting engineers in various tasks related to design, development and manufacturing. They will work closely with engineers providing support by applying practical skills, problem solving skills and knowledge through various stages of a project, from initial design to final implementation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Work alongside engineers, other team members and suppliers assisting them with technical information and guidance Create CAD models and detailed drawings for new and existing product Design parts from prototypes or sketches Update existing CAD models and drawings Create and maintain documentation Create bill of materials Obtain technical information for projects Order processing Other duties as needed Key Competencies Adheres to safety policies and procedures with consistency and urgency Uses practical reasoning and data to make timely, informed decisions Applies root cause thinking to address recurring issues and improve processes Works constructively with other departments to align efforts Communicates effectively at all levels and encourages open, two-way dialogue Adjusts to changing conditions without losing focus on results Qualifications To perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to meet each essential duty with competence and professionalism.

Education and Experience

(change as applicable) High school diploma or equivalent Associate degree in a technical field or working towards a degree Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered Skills and Abilities (change as applicable) Strong communication skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, hands-on environment Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of learning production software and systems Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software.
