Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) - Consultant (Wichita, KS)

Required Qualifications Currently holds a BCBA, and is in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Hold a Kansas Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) license or be eligible for LBA licensure. Have direct professional experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Have a satisfactory background check, including records maintained by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI), Adult Protective Services (APS), Child Protective Services (CPS), Nurse Aide Registry, and Motor Vehicle records.

Preferred Qualification s At minimum 1 year of training service providers to work with children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) Experience conducting interventions or research with children with behavior problems Experience conducting family trainings on ABA based treatment plans 12 months minimum experience working with families in home and/or community-based settings Proficiency with Word and/or other word processing programs Data analysis experience (SPSS, Excel etc.)

(IBT) is a group of caring individuals whose goal is to provide children and their families with the behavioral therapy services they need to succeed. We are a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization that serves children across the state of Kansas with a focus on rural and low-income areas. IBT is hiring a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at our Park City, KS clinic.

Job Responsibilities

(actual percentages may vary based on week/month): 20% Create Individualized Treatment Plans: develop treatment plans based on the principles of ABA to address communication, feeding, behavior, adaptive daily living, and social skills and update as necessary 20% Create and monitor child’s data: design data collection systems to track and evaluate client progress on treatment plan objectives.

15% Consult with senior BCBA on treatment teams for behavior and programming issues: staying in close contact with the BCBA to identify changes in a child’s behavior and to discuss changes in procedures regarding behavior management and skill acquisition. 10% Conducting assessments (e.g. VB-MAPP): sitting with the client and determining whether he/she is able to conduct certain tasks.

10% Conducting functional behavior assessments: observing client behavior, interviewing providers and parents regarding client behavior and determining function of behavior. 10% Supervise 1:1 discrete trial teaching; observe implementers providing treatment to clients, review implementer’s documentation and data collection and provide feedback as needed.
