Elementary Reading & Math Tutors (Grades 3–5)

School: Mission Bend Elementary – Fort Bend ISD Schedule:Three days per week. Time: 3:15–5:15 PMCompensation:$20–$27 per hour (based on experience). Positions Available:2 Reading Tutors (Grades 3–5)2 Math Tutors (Grades 3–5). Total positions: 4Position Overview. Mission Bend Elementary is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic tutors to provide small-group academic support in reading and math for students in grades 3–5.

Tutors will work closely with students to reinforce grade-level skills, build confidence, and support academic growth in a structured after-school setting.Responsibilities. Provide small-group instruction in reading or math aligned with grade-level standards. Support skill development through targeted practice and guided instruction.

Assist students with comprehension, fluency, problem-solving, and foundational math skills. Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed. Create a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment. Collaborate with school staff as needed to support student success. Qualifications. Minimum 1 year of experience working with elementary-aged students in a classroom, tutoring, or academic support setting.

Experience with reading intervention and/or math instruction for grades 3–5 preferred. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Ability to work effectively with small groups. Dependable, professional, and student-focused. Preferred Skills. Familiarity with elementary curriculum and instructional strategies.

Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for working with children. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
