Job description

Job Title: Transport Coordinator Employment Type: Contract Location: Nairobi Profile Introduction Our client, a leading company in the Oil and Gas sector is seeking a Transport Coordinator who will be responsible for; Coordination of contracted transport to ensure fleet availability, Distribution efficiency, maximum fleet utilization, quarterly transporter KPI reviews and bi-annual transporter convention Monitoring contracted fleet and company light vehicles fleet OBC and Camera units to enhance safety in the two fleets on full time basis and analysing daily OBC control violations and generating reports for corrective action.

Key Responsibilities

In liaison with Transport Coordinator and Senior Distribution Coordinator, plan the Transporter seminars every year, Quarterly Best Driver and Quality Cycle Meetings - to discuss issues relating to transport and to review transporter KPIs Co-ordinate new truck creation in SAP to ensure that only approved trucks are used in the contracted fleet by getting all the mandatory documentation from transporters prior to inclusion of the truck in the fleet.

Manages the transport data base to ensure update and status of licenses, PATROM Inspections and standards using Track & Trace system. Prepare Monthly analysis of STL Rejections, Product Losses, Fleet performance and Age for presentation during Monthly Transport Business review (BR). Raise PRs for Distribution Section services, receive and process invoices in DMS for approval.

Raise Transporter Debit Credit for all product recoveries. Ensures all Distribution Procedures are updated and uploaded in One. Referential Assist the Senior Distribution Coordinator in Month end SAP Prebilling reports generation aid in Finance period closure. Co-ordination and scheduling of KPI meetings for all transport stakeholder/contractors Transporter, AAK, Technobrain, Mix telematics/Controltec) b) OBC Co-ordination: Observe and pick out vehicle (both LV and HV) OBC violations and communicate the same real time to transporters and management for action to be taken to enhance safety.

Observe and pick out OBC malfunctions for corrective action Ensuring timely and comprehensive daily / weekly/ monthly submissions of OBC analyses and communicating transporter violations trend analysis on daily/ weekly / monthly / periodic basis Co-ordinate weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings with Technobrain team.

Generation of OBC trails, driver, transporter and affiliate data for accident reporting and other exceptional reports as may be requested Requirements A Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Science, Commerce with strong computer and statistics literacy, Presentation and reporting skills. Minimum 2 years’ experience in operations & logistics.

Must have high level of numeric and analytical skills. A team player & leader and self-motivated with high level of integrity.
