Director of Human Resources Groth Pain & Spine | Long Island Lead People Strategy at Long Island's Premier Pain Management Practice Groth Pain & Spine is growing — and as we expand, we need an experienced HR leader to build the people-first foundation that keeps pace with us. This is a rare opportunity to shape HR strategy from a leadership seat at a thriving, multidisciplinary healthcare practice, rather than simply administer policy within one.

We're looking for a Director of Human Resources who can balance strategic vision with hands-on execution — someone who understands that in a practice built around compassionate patient care, taking care of our people isn't a side function, it's the foundation everything else stands on. A seat at the leadership table — partner directly with practice leadership to shape organizational strategy as we scale A mission-driven culture — support a multidisciplinary team of Physicians, NPs, PAs, Chiropractors, Physical Therapists, Massage Therapists, Psychologists, and Licensed Clinical Social Workers Real ownership — build and refine HR infrastructure, policy, and programs across a rapidly growing multi-location practice Competitive compensation — $120,000–$165,000 salary range, plus health insurance, paid holidays, PTO, performance bonuses, and 401(k) A culture that's second to none — join a practice that genuinely invests in the people who make great patient care possible What You'll Do Develop and lead the organization's overall HR strategy, aligning people’s initiatives with practice growth goals Oversee full-cycle talent acquisition, ensuring the practice attracts and retains top clinical and administrative talent Design and manage compensation, benefits, and performance management programs Lead employee relations efforts, fostering a positive, high-integrity workplace culture Ensure compliance with employment law, healthcare workforce regulations, and practice policy across all locations Build and mentor an HR team capable of supporting a growing, multi-site organization Partner with practice leadership and department heads on workforce planning and organizational development Oversee onboarding, training, and professional development programs for clinical and non-clinical staff Manage HR budgets, vendor relationships, and HRIS systems What We're Looking For Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree or SHRM/HRCI certification preferred) Significant progressive HR leadership experience, ideally within healthcare or a multi-site organization Strong knowledge of employment law and healthcare workforce compliance Proven ability to lead HR strategy while remaining comfortable with hands-on, day-to-day execution Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills Discretion and sound judgment in handling sensitive personnel matters.
