They evaluate credit risks, develop strategies to minimize losses, and may supervise a team of credit and collections staff.

Responsibilities include

managing credit limits, credit exposure, and customer collections.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Evaluate potential customers’ creditworthiness Approve or reject credit limit requests from customers Monitor customers’ credit exposure Create a credit scoring model to assess risks Customer collections and communication Provide monthly credit reports to Management WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The work environment characteristics and physical requirements described herein are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the functions of this job.

Qualifications

Education, Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience required. 5 years of applicable work experience in a general financial accounting or credit department role. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.
