Makaton Communication Support Assistant – Greenwich Location: Greenwich Contract: Temporary Pay: £110–£145 per day PAYE The opportunity A supportive SEN school in Greenwich is seeking a communication-focused assistant to help pupils take part in lessons, routines and social activities using Makaton and other total-communication approaches.

What you will do

• Use Makaton, symbols and visual timetables consistently across the school day.
• Model functional communication during lessons, play and personal-care routines.
• Adapt resources with guidance from teachers and speech and language professionals.
• Record progress and share useful observations with the wider team.
