Mason

Ornamental Concrete Products Ltd. (OCP) requires a Mason who will be responsible for assisting in the production of ornamental concrete products on a small-scale manufacturing site. This includes preparing molds, mixing and pouring concrete, finishing surfaces, curing, and handling materials. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe work environment and supporting other general labour tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare molds and forms for casting ornamental concrete products. Mix, pour, compact, and finish concrete in accordance with specifications. Apply masonry techniques such as smoothing, shaping, and finishing concrete surfaces. Perform demolding, patching, and quality checks on finished products. Safely operate hand tools and small equipment used in production.

Handle, move, and store raw materials (cement, aggregates, pigments, etc.) and finished products. Assist with packaging and loading of finished products for delivery. Deliver products to job sites and complete on-site assembly when required Perform other related duties as assigned by the Site supervisor. Drive the company truck to collect raw materials and deliver finished goods to customers Manage cash transactions and process sales using a merchant machine Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.

Qualifications

Previous experience in masonry, concrete, or general construction required; preferably 1-2 years. Valid driving license for Light and Heavy truck required. Ability to perform physical labour, including lifting up to 50 lbs, is required. Basic knowledge of concrete mixing and finishing techniques is an asset. Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Ability to work independently and as part of a small team. Basic skills in verbal and written communication. Working Conditions: Work is performed in a small-scale concrete production facility. Exposure to dust, noise, and outdoor weather conditions. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required. Normal work hours are M-S 7:30am – 4:00pm.
