Our mission is to promote financial stability in underserved communities by providing free, high-quality tax preparation services and connecting families to essential resources. Each year, NTC prepares over 36,000 tax returns for low-income families at more than 20 locations in high-need neighborhoods throughout the Greater Houston Area. Job Summary

The Intake Specialist is responsible for all aspects of the intake process and screening. The Intake Specialist greets clients as they enter the tax center, assists clients with completing the intake forms, and provides translation assistance as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Keep a sign-in sheet to provide orders for tax preparation Ensure all clients receive and complete all required intake forms Review client documents to ensure completeness and that the tax return is within the scope and income limits Provide translation services as needed by clients, volunteers, and Staff Ensure the intake station is adequately stocked with clipboards, intake paperwork, pens, and other necessary supplies Qualifications: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail High level of organization Flexible, friendly, and helpful Excellent customer service skills Multiple locations available Southwest Spring Branch North Channel Candidate must be Bilingual in English and Spanish to be considered All candidates selected must complete training and certification provided by Neighborhood Tax Centers to continue employment.
