Junior Engineer - Marine

Junior Engineers assist the vessel’s Chief Engineer / 2nd Engineer and any other engineers who are on duty. The nature of the work takes place in the ship's hull, in the engine room. Junior Engineer will be supporting the operation of the main engines, the electrical generation, the steering mechanism, and the other major subsystems. Core Responsibilities:

• Stand watch as per the ship's watchkeeping schedule.
• Assist in navigation and piloting the vessel.
• Maintain navigational charts and publications.
• Monitor vessel systems and equipment.
• Participate in emergency drills and exercises.
• Assist in cargo operations, including loading, discharging, and lashing.
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the ship.
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of deck equipment.
• Prepare and submit navigational reports and logs.
• Comply with international maritime regulations and company procedures. Educational and Technical Qualifications: Secondary School. Second Mate's Certificate of Competency (COC). Language Skills: Excellent English. Arabic is an added advantage Years of Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role Nature of Experience: Seafaring experience as a Junior Officer.
