Patient Services Representative - Full Time

Greets all patients and visitors and answers incoming calls for the ambulatory clinic site of care. Obtains and records demographic and insurance information. Schedules patient appointments, procedures and / or diagnostic tests with appropriate physicians and / or departments and obtains pre-authorization for ancillary or referral appointments.

Collects necessary payment and acts as a clinic-based resource and liaison to the hospital business office for patients who may have questions related to their physician and / or hospital bills. Professionally and effectively communicates information to internal and external customers, while maintaining a focus on patient service and patient confidentiality.
