Heat Treat Technician - Entry Level - 2nd and 3rd Shift

Producing the optimum metallurgical properties including excellent distortion control and uniformity of hardness have been our goal. SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE Operate heat treat furnaces and equipment to produce a properly heat-treated product to meet customer requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Operate and work in safe manner and follow all safety regulations.
2. Build furnace loads for heat treat operation.
3. Operate gas/electric/salt furnaces to meet customer requirements.
4. Perform hardness inspection on customer parts.
5. Maintain equipment according to preventative maintenance schedule.
6. Perform general cleaning tasks to help maintain a clean and organized facility
7. Operate fork truck
8. Cross train in other departments.
9. Attend / complete onsite education regarding heat treating and metallurgy. POSITION REQUIREMENTS
10. No previous experience required. Additional training will be provided in-house through multiple methods.
11. Must be able to multitask and maintain awareness and status of multiple furnaces.
12. General ability to operate a computer.
13. Ability to add and subtract time to determine proper beginning or ending of process.
14. Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in oral and written formats.
15. Ability to communicate information to internal and external customers in one-on-one or small group setting.
16.
