Qualifications

5+ years of experience in UI, visual, experience design across games, entertainment, or digital products, ideally with experience shipping one or more games. A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual craft, creative exploration, and the ability to connect form and function into intuitive, engaging, and polished player experiences.

Strong visual design skills across UI, typography, layout, composition, and visual storytelling, with the ability to create high-quality, visually compelling design solutions. Good understanding of game systems and how different features and interactions connect to create a cohesive player experience. Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools, such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar. Experience working within established Design Systems, maintaining consistency while exploring opportunities for creative expression.

Strong storytelling, presentation, and design rationale skills, with the ability to clearly communicate creative decisions, collaborate with partners, and advocate for thoughtful design solutions. Strong design judgment and the ability to take ownership of assigned features from concept through implementation, balancing visual quality, usability, and production constraints.

Comfortable navigating ambiguity, asking thoughtful questions, challenging assumptions, and proposing creative solutions. A collaborative mindset, strong relationship-building skills, adaptability, and a genuine passion for games and creating meaningful player experiences.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Design System owners and fellow designers to maintain consistency, quality, and opportunities for creative expression across experiences. Work closely with Experience Designers, Game Designers, Producers, Researchers, Art Directors, and Engineers to bring features from concept to delivery.

Apply player-centred design thinking, considering player needs, behaviours, and game systems while challenging assumptions and proposing thoughtful solutions. Present design concepts and solutions clearly, communicate design rationale, and incorporate feedback to refine and improve design outcomes. Actively contribute to team discussions, share design work and learnings, and build strong relationships across disciplines to support collaboration and continuous improvement.
