Quality Technician
Job description
Company Summary Bio Fab Technologies ("Bio Fab" or the "Company"), headquartered in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, is a premier designer and manufacturer of high-end customized stainless-steel equipment and components for pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and industrial markets. The Company is seeking a detail-oriented TATE Autodesk Forma Quality Technician to manage production quality records, verify documentation accuracy and completeness, support shipment readiness, and coordinate completed-crate shipping activities.
Position Summary
The TATE Quality Technician manages the Autodesk Forma / Autodesk Construction Cloud quality-documentation process for the TATE manifold program. The position performs in-process record checks, verifies all required forms and supporting documents before shipment, creates and audits crate assets, distributes shipment information, and coordinates freight pickup for completed crates.
Job Responsibilities
Manage the TATE Autodesk Forma / Autodesk Construction Cloud workflow for manifold assets, inspection forms, custom fields, barcode records, photographs, certificates, status updates, issue records, and crate assets. Perform in-process Autodesk Forma checks throughout production to confirm required forms are created at the correct operation, mandatory fields are completed, photographs and supporting files are attached, and asset statuses accurately reflect the current process step.
Verify manufacturing part number, drawing revision, supply/return designation, serial number, asset tag, barcode, subassembly lot IDs, passivation information, test results, crate number, and manifold-to-crate relationships for accuracy and traceability. Audit documentation for welding, hydrostatic pressure testing, passivation, assembly, flushing, drying, and crating operations; follow up with responsible personnel when records are incomplete, inconsistent, or unsupported.
Create or verify each crate asset in Autodesk Forma and confirm the crate number, external labels, location, crated-manifold asset list, manifold crate-number fields, and applicable crate statuses are entered correctly. Confirm all forms are filled out completely when the crate asset is created, including required checklist responses, photographs, certificates, approvals, asset relationships, and status entries.
Complete the pre-shipment documentation review and verify every manifold assigned to the crate has complete inspection records, required attachments, no unresolved documentation gaps, and no open quality issues preventing release. Verify the Crate Checklist is complete and supports correct manifold seating and securement, pressurization identification, quantity labeling, Tilt Watch and 75G shock-watch indicators, crate closure, and final status.
Compile and send accurate shipping information and supporting records to the customer, BFT Accounting, and HAT Control for customer communication and invoicing records. Contact the designated freight company, provide completed crate pickup information, arrange the truck pickup, and communicate scheduled pickup details to applicable internal contacts.
Maintain shipment handoff records, including crate identification, quantities, freight details, pickup confirmation, and available shipping documentation. Place crate records or shipment release on hold when required information is missing or inaccurate; notify Operations leadership and verify correction or approved disposition before release.
Identify recurring Autodesk Forma errors, incomplete forms, unclear ownership, and shipment-hand-off gaps and support corrective process improvements. Follow established safety, quality, documentation, and housekeeping requirements and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; technical training in quality, manufacturing, logistics, business systems, or documentation control is preferred. Experience with Autodesk Forma / Autodesk Construction Cloud, digital quality records, manufacturing documentation, asset management, shipping administration, or a comparable system is preferred.
Ability to review manufacturing records, drawings, part numbers, revisions, serial numbers, lot IDs, test results, photographs, certificates, and status information for accuracy and completeness. Strong computer skills, including creation and review of electronic forms, custom fields, barcode records, photo uploads, file attachments, and organized digital records.
Ability to coordinate professionally with production, Quality, Operations, customers, BFT Accounting, HAT Control, and freight providers. Strong attention to detail, organization, written communication, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple in-process assets and shipment priorities. Ability to work independently, identify documentation gaps, and stop or hold shipment release when required records are incomplete or inaccurate.
Physical / Work Requirements Regularly stand, walk, bend, reach, and move between production, inspection, crating, and office work areas. Ability to use a computer and mobile device for extended periods to review forms, photographs, asset records, shipment details, and electronic documentation. Ability to safely enter manufacturing and crating areas while using required personal protective equipment.
Work is performed in both office and manufacturing environments and requires coordination around production equipment, completed crates, freight activity, noise, and required safety controls.
