Food Service Assistant

Overview

Assists in the cleaning and washing of dishes, glasses, silverware, utensils, pots and pans. Putting up stock and truck days. Assists in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the department. including trash rmoval and cleaning of surfaces and floors according to Food & Nutrition guidelines and regulatory standards.

Help with preparation and delivery of dietary trays to patients/ residents utilizing diet lists.

Qualifications

(1) year experience in kitchen/food service in healthcare setting preferred. Able to work well with others, remaining calm, flexible and open to change. Demeonstrates knowledge of hospital and Food & Nutrition policies. Able to perform several tasks in an organized manner. Able to stand for long periods, lift, bend, and stoop. Long and flexible hours.

Education

High School Graduate or G.E.D., Valid Serv Safe Certification. Assists in the cleaning and washing of dishes, glasses, silverware, utensils, pots and pans. Putting up stock and truck days. Assists in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the department. including trash rmoval and cleaning of surfaces and floors according to Food & Nutrition guidelines and regulatory standards.
