Job Description: Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and customize Android System UI components (Status Bar, Navigation Bar, Notifications). Implement and enhance focus handling mechanisms for seamless user interaction across applications. Work on framework-level UI integrations within Android (AOSP/System UI layer).
Collaborate with platform, middleware, and application teams to ensure smooth UI behavior across the system. Debug and resolve UI/UX issues related to rendering, performance, and responsiveness. Optimize UI components for performance, scalability, and stability in embedded/automotive environments. Ensure compliance with Android UI/UX guidelines and platform standards.
Required Skills
& Experience: Strong experience in Android development (Java/Kotlin). Hands-on experience with Android System UI / AOSP customization. Expertise in: Notification framework Status Bar & Navigation Bar customization Focus management (key events, input handling, navigation) Good understanding of Android Framework internals.
Experience in debugging UI issues using tools (ADB, Logcat, Systrace, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Automotive Android (AAOS) or embedded systems. Familiarity with service-oriented architecture (SOME/IP, middleware layers). Exposure to performance tuning and UI responsiveness optimization. Working with Embitel
