Electrical Supervisor

Mō te tūranga | About the role We’re looking for an Electrical Supervisor to lead our Central Otago Electrical team based in Alexandra. This is a hands-on leadership role with plenty of variety, where you’ll help maximise the performance of people, plant and fleet across a range of projects in the region. You’ll work closely with the Electrical Department Manager to keep day-to-day operations running well, lift service delivery, and back your team to do good work safely.

It’s a role for someone who can balance planning, people leadership, client relationships and site delivery without the stiff corporate carry-on. Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities Lead and coordinate day-to-day electrical operations across projects in Central Otago. Support and develop your team, set clear expectations, and drive high standards in safety, quality and performance.

Build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams. Manage programme delivery, resourcing, job costing, budgets, forecasting and KPI reporting. Spend time in the yard and on site to troubleshoot issues, audit work, provide direction and keep plant, fleet and crews running smoothly.

Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We’re looking for someone with Registration as a New Zealand Electrician and a current driver licence. Proven experience in electrical operations, including planning, resource coordination and delivering work to programme. Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to coach others, hold honest conversations and build a positive team culture.

Solid commercial nous, including budgeting, pricing, job costing and understanding labour, plant and material costs. Confidence using systems and software such as Word, Excel and email, with asset management systems, CMMS, VSD, motors or PLC experience a bonus.
