Automation Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer at Koops designs and develops mechanical components, equipment, and systems for custom automation. Working closely with all members of the project team, and customers, this role brings innovative machine designs from concept through completion while balancing quality, cost, and timing. What You'll Do

Design custom automation equipment using 3D CAD software Develop mechanical systems incorporating robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and other mechanical components Analyze equipment requirements and develop solutions that meet customer needs Collaborate with internal team and customers to optimize machine designs Develop and conduct testing to validate equipment performance and functionality Adapt designs based on customer and project requirements Troubleshoot design and equipment challenges using creative problem-solving Take ownership of designs from initial concept through project completion What We're Looking For We're looking for a creative, mechanically minded engineer who enjoys variety and takes ownership of delivering high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field 3+ years of experience designing automation equipment Experience with 3D CAD software Experience designing systems involving robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, or other mechanical systems Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams High level of integrity and commitment to quality Strong sense of ownership and accountability Why Koops?
