JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: H-MD-131484 Profession: Physician Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Meridian, Mississippi Coverage Period: Sep 05, 2026 – Ongoing Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES Moderate Sedation JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine Licenses: Active MS medical license, DEA with MS address and Schedules II-V DEA / CDS: Active DEA and CDS required Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS (as applicable) Experience: Residency trained in EM, FM, or IM; 2000+ contact hours in ED/Acute Care in last 2 years Other Qualifications: 40 CME hours in past 2 years; case logs; flu vaccination required DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide emergency medical care to patients presenting to the ED Supervise and serve as backup for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants Perform moderate sedation procedures as needed Manage acute care cases and stabilize critically ill patients Ensure compliance with facility protocols and documentation requirements
