Business Administrator/Board Secretary - anticipated

School Business Administrator/Board Secretary Lacey Township School District, located in Ocean County, New Jersey, seeks an innovative School Business Administrator/Board Secretary with strong business operations skills to provide efficient management of district business affairs and resources to support educational programs, services and facilities.

The School Business Administrator/Board Secretary provides managerial oversight to budget development and implementation, transportation, food service, facilities/capital projects, risk management, purchasing, and property insurance and other related responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools. The position is available on January 1, 2027.

QUALIFICATIONS

Valid New Jersey School Business Administrator Certificate or eligibility. Minimum experience as determined by the Board. Understanding of the principles and practices of financial accounting and reporting procedures consistent with statute, code and GAAP requirements. Knowledge of accepted business practices in school districts related to budget preparation and administration, risk management, purchasing, transportation, food services, school plant operations and facility planning.
