To help maintain this high-performing culture and drive our future growth, we are seeking a dynamic and strategic VP of Finance and Administration (acting as our senior Chief Financial Officer / CFO functions lead). In this role, you will champion a cohesive team, ensuring our financial framework and administrative operations build trust through clear communication and reliable processes.
Job Purpose The VP of Finance and Administration is a senior executive leadership role responsible for directing the organization's overall financial strategy, fiscal health, and reporting integrity, while overseeing daily administrative operations that support organizational efficiency. Reporting directly to the CEO and Board of Directors, this dual-scope position requires a strategic leader with strong operational acumen.
The ideal candidate can seamlessly partner on long-range financial planning & analysis (FP&A) while ensuring that facilities, corporate risk management, procurement, and internal cross-functional operations run smoothly and cost-effectively. Core Responsibilities Financial Strategy & Corporate Finance (CFO Functions): Develop and execute the organization's accounting and financial strategy, including corporate budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and long-term asset management.
Manage capital structure, banking relationships, financing, and investment activities. Financial Reporting & Internal Controls: Oversee the preparation of accurate, timely financial statements in strict compliance with GAAP and regulatory frameworks. Lead annual external audit processes, corporate tax filings, and maintain robust internal control metrics.
Administrative & Facilities Leadership: Direct daily administrative operations, facilities management, office infrastructure, procurement, and vendor/contract negotiations to maximize cost-efficiency. Risk Management & Compliance: Oversee organizational risk assessments and corporate insurance programs (property, liability, workers' compensation, D&O).
Direct business continuity planning and safety/regulatory compliance across administrative functions. Executive Partnership & Leadership: Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on resource allocation and operational scalability. Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing finance, bookkeeping, and operations team.
Position Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred. A CPA, CMA, or CFA designation is a major plus. Experience: 10–15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including 5+ years in a CFO, VP of Finance, or Financial Controller role.
Operational Expertise: Proven success managing multidisciplinary teams, vendor procurement, and facilities/administrative functions in addition to core corporate finance. Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of GAAP compliance, corporate accounting models, and advanced Excel tools. Strong proficiency with industry-relevant ERP software (such as Infor Visual ERP, QuickBooks Enterprise, or equivalent EAS systems).
Operating Principles Accurate: Providing correct, reliable, data-driven financial reporting to steer executive decision-making. Understandable: Ensuring all financial dashboards and operational workflows are clear and easy to interpret for internal and external stakeholders alike. CEO’s Priorities for this role Payroll- Delivered on time, every time.
Invoices- Timely, accurate, and understandable to the client. Payable- Managed with precision and accountability. Job Close Out- Completed thoroughly, with all records reconciled and finalized.
