Non-CDL-B Driver - Local, Home Daily

Annual Gross: $55,564-$69,202 Drive a 26-foot B&B box truck on dedicated local USPS routes serving Traverse City and surrounding communities. Home daily. No CDL required for this position; a valid Michigan chauffeur license is required or must be obtained before start. Drivers operate a hydraulic liftgate and move wheeled mail containers at multiple post offices.

Valid Chauffeur's license No prior box truck , delivery, or commercial driving experience required. B&B will train qualified applicants. Good Driving Record Must be able to pass Postal Security Screening. Must be able to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English Must be able to learn , understand and apply, DOT regulations governing hours of service, safe driving, and vehicle inspections Must be able to safely perform the physical duties of the position, including entering and exiting the truck, operating a hydraulic liftgate, handling loads up to 75 pounds, and pushing or pulling wheeled mail containers using safe methods and available equipment.

***Non experience drivers will be enrolled in our Entry Level Driver Training Program. Drivers must successfully complete this program before solo assignments. Training will include Hours of Service, ELD/Samsara use, Vehicle inspections, DVIR, safe driving, safe operations of equipment and postal/customer procedures and requirements.

Training is paid at $20.00 per hour****
